Hamish Ogston

In November 2017, Hamish Ogston made a donation to Liverpool Cathedral for refurbishment of its prized Grand Organ, the largest in the UK. To celebrate a service was held, on November 15, 2017, featuring specially-commissioned music – including a trumpet fanfare written by BAFTA and Emmy Award-winning composer George Fenton and the inflation of Hamish Ogston’s hot air balloon inside the Cathedral’s 174ft (53m) Main Space.

We made this film of this momentous occasion:

Strauss Metamorphosen – Southwell Music Festival 2016

This is the first time we have been asked to prepare a complete piece from Southwell, and what an absolute stunner! Set aside half an hour, and a glass of something as this is an astonishing live performance of one of the greatest pieces of string music from the 20th century…

Elgar – Dream of Gerontius

I say that as someone married to a former BBC Proms director.”

“Thank you so much for our CD I just received in the post today! It sounds really fantastic! Who did the recording, because they’re seriously good!” – Jordan Hunt in an email to Anne Cuddigan

Here is that complete live recording:
